Peel has been popular in Los Angeles since June of 99 at the Crunch Health club chain on Sunset Strip. It is the latest dance sensation since step aerobics.

According to founder of the S Factor, Sheila Kelley, a wife, mother and actress, this form of exercise promises to ignite empowerment, enlighten and strengthen your body and blow your mind!

People of all body types, ages 18 and up, take this class. Appearances range from “Baywatch babe” to the 70-year-old woman who seems to like the program because the steps are easy to follow. If you are the shy type, then this class is also for you. Peel lets you do things that someone may have told you were dirty or wrong. This form of exercise is great for toning your body; you will do plenty of hip rolls and body waves (starting with your chest and rolling down through your abdomen and glutes). As a grand finale, a routine will be taught, such as some form of lap dance or floor routine. Participants are encouraged to get a little daring and step out of their comfort zone by flirting, peeling away layers of clothes and flashing a little skin but, no one is asked to shed more than they want.

Peel is not about "getting naked;” the class is about building self-esteem and looking and feeling beautiful. It’s about getting in tune with yourself…physically, mentally and spiritually. This is a class that leaves you feeling like you just worked out your body and your mind, by jump-starting your imagination.

Peel consists of three segments, each segment last for a four week period.

Peel 1: a basic class starting with facial expressions, leading to over all body movements, then entering into the different types of striptease walks with heels (though heels are optional), then the crawl, the introduction of the chair and ending in a basic routine taught by the instructor.

Peel 2: a continuation of Peel 1 with more exotic moves, combinations and transitional moves, usage of props such as a hat, boa and gloves, ending with a chair routine taught by the instructor.

Peel 3: a combination of all classes featuring” Burlesque,” a humorous theatrical entertainment characterized by comedy, dancing & striptease. This is the most creative class and by far the most fun class. By the time you’ve gone through the first two cycles of the Peel classes you will have the confidence to appreciate and master this class! Of course a routine is at the end of this class as well but, there is a twist. You must complete each class in numeric order, no skipping.

If you want to tone, gain flexibility and build confidence, then Peel is for you. This is a medium intensity and low-to-no–impact workout, which makes it a safe workout for everyone.

If you are looking for a different kind of workout, and tired of lifting weights or running on the treadmill, Peel may be for you! Peel off those old layers of stereotypes and try a new form of exercise. I cater to individual, semi-private and groups. If you would like to have a bachelorette or birthday party, bridal shower or just a "girls night out," peel will be a transformation you will not forget!
