Exercise is definitely a strong factor in becoming physically fit however,
what a person eats has a tremendous effect on the outcome of ones
body. Therefore, we have to keep it real and make it a priority to add in
a clean eating plan to any exercise regiment.
I help our clients with their meals and place them on a sensible clean eating
plan that is realistic with reasonable choices. However, it is up to the
client to have a sense of responsibility when it comes to their food choices.
I will provide you with a list of clean foods and a menu that will fit your
life style and if need be, I will come to your home and help you clean out
your refrigerator!
Weve all tried the fad diets, yo-yo dieting and diets pills and to
some degree this will be a quick fix, eventually you will have to make better
food choices and be sensible. Setting
realistic goals gives you a better chance at sticking with your diet and
maintaining your healthy weight. The average American diet is missing many
essential nutrients, therefore while eating a cleaner diet, we recommend you
take a nutritional supplement such as a multi vitamin. Think before you
eat, ask yourself if youre really hungry, bored, angry, depressed
or just eating out of habit. Take in fewer calories. According to the American
Dietetic Association, youll need to lower the calories you take in
and increase your physical activity if you want to lose weight. Eat plenty
of veggies, fruits and grain products, as well as lean meat and poultry.
Eat a wide variety of foods; you will stay better motivated if your meal
selections are varied. Slow down while eating by eating more slowly and
spread your meals into smaller courses allows more time for what you have
eaten to register in your brain, you will feel fuller and eat less.
Last but not least, get the support of family, friends and a personal trainer!
